Maximum Ideal Series output. 8,000W for demanding heating projects.

The Kelray ID-80 is the highest-output heater in the Kelray Range, delivering 8,000W from two replaceable quartz elements. Primarily a choice for commercial and suitable industrial heating projects, it combines a 1,565 mm, 316 stainless steel body with separate-element control when suitably wired. Residential applications are also possible where the installation requirements and heating plan support this level of output.

  • 8,000W output from two replaceable quartz elements
  • 240V supply with a rated current of 33.4A
  • Approximate coverage: 16 × 16 ft (5 × 5 m) in a partially enclosed setting
  • Wall, ceiling or flush mounting to suit your layout
  • Limited five-year heater-body warranty; separate reflector and element terms apply

Maximum coverage in the Ideal Series, carefully planned

The ID-80 has the largest estimated heat footprint in the Ideal Series. Consider it for commercial terraces, hospitality venues and suitable industrial work areas where the available mounting height, electrical supply and clearances can accommodate its output. Industrial suitability must be assessed for the actual environment; this is not a heater for hazardous locations with exposed flammable or explosive materials.

The ID-80 shares the ID-60's body length but increases total rated power from 6,000W to 8,000W. Separate switching allows 4,000W or 8,000W operation. For a residential project, confirm that this output and mounting arrangement suit the space; the goal is well-positioned comfort, not simply selecting the most powerful heater.

Infrared heat warms people and surfaces in its path. Position the heater over or toward the area you actually use. Wind, mounting height and the openness of the space affect comfort and coverage.

Plan your installation

Contact us with your project use, layout, mounting heights, open sides, available electrical supply and site photos. We will help assess whether the ID-80 is appropriate and plan the number of heaters and control zones with your installer. Coverage is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed temperature or a substitute for the installation clearances.

Keep the heater's long axis horizontal. Flush mounting requires the purpose-designed recess kit and a firebox rated for at least one hour. Your electrician must follow the installation manual and local requirements for wiring, protection and clearances. Confirm mounting height with Kelray before installation.

With suitable wiring and separate switching, the two elements can provide half- or full-power operation. Discuss controls and mounting accessories when planning your system.
